Giant in the Playground
Follow the long-lost magazine adventures of The Order of the Stick as they traverse an endless dungeon of puffin swarms, breakfast cereal mascots, and one heavily templated snail. Snips, Snails, and Dragon Tales collects all of the OOTS comic strips that were published in Dragon® magazine back in the late 2000s, alongside a veritable smorgasbord of original stories and comedy content. Here's what's included:
- All 22 original The Order of the Stick color strips that ran in the print version of Dragon® magazine from issue #338 (December 2005) to the last issue, #359 (September 2007).
- Author commentary on the experience of creating strips for the legendary gaming publication.
- 8 additional never-before-seen strips that were planned for future issues, before the magazine was canceled.
-
Edition Wars: Invaders from the 4th
EditionDimension: Hey, remember when Fourth Edition was a big controversial thing? Watch as the Order tangles with their duplicates from another ruleset! - Stick Tales: The Order decides to have a good old fashioned storytelling session, spinning such tales as Elan and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hoodlum, and The Tragedy of Greenhilt, Prince of Denmark. Classic literature, ruined in the way that only The Order of the Stick can!
- Julio Scoundrel and the Curse of the Mummy Queen: A look at the top-selling in-universe comic book, where young Julio takes on a desert sorceress and her evil minions!
- NEW! Six additional never-before-collected color OOTS comics that ran in the short-lived Gygax™ magazine from issue #1 (January 2013) to the last issue, #6 (September 2015). (Exclusive to digital edition)
- NEW! Additional new author's commentary page covering the Gygax™ magazine experience and looking back on this book's original 2011 publication from the present day of 2024. (Exclusive to digital edition)
It's a collection of odds and ends that wouldn't have justified a commercial product if presented on their own, but now they're bundled together! Wow!
This is a digital PDF download. This book is no longer available in print format.
